Umbria is a region of Italy still uncontaminated, preserved both artistically and as regards the landscape. Cultural offerings are of a very high quality: the Spoleto Festival dei Due Mondi (Two Worlds) for example. Umbrian cooking is still tied to the concepts of tradition and authenticity, from wine to saffron, from beans to Torta al Testo – a type of sandwich filled with good, local ingredients.

The best periods to visit Umbria are May-June and September-October and, for those who seek entertainment, the summer which brings a continual stream of Festas , Exhibitions and other events.
