Find your charming holiday in Umbria:

Umbria is a region of Italy still uncontaminated, preserved both artistically and as regards the landscape. Besides the well-known places - Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Orvieto or Gubbio to name but a few – Umbria offers many places still to be discovered: 92 mediaeval towns, castles and monasteries perched on the hills, virgin forests, villages which still make a living from agriculture and a little tourism.

Cultural offerings are of a very high quality: the Spoleto Festival dei Due Mondi (Two Worlds) for example. Umbrian cooking is still tied to the concepts of tradition and authenticity, from wine to saffron, from beans to Torta al Testo – a type of sandwich filled with good, local ingredients.

The best periods to visit Umbria are May-June and September-October and, for those who seek entertainment, the summer which brings a continual stream of Festas , Exhibitions and other events.

Umbria has two provinces - Perugia and Terni
