The land around Terni is one of the most verdant, hilly areas of Umbria. The Val Nerina, which stretches from Cascia and Norcia, holds unmissable natural spectacles such as the Marmore waterfalls  and activities such as climbing, rafting, bungee-jumping, mountain biking and Nordic skiing. A territory to be explored, beginning with the city of Terni, known for its industry but also for art and culture. Other places to visit include Arrone, with its ancient sector known as “La Terra”; Polino, the highest town in Umbria and also one of the smallest in Italy; San Gemini, famous for its mineral waters and spa; Ferentillo, a tiny centre situated in a gorge cut into the rocks; Acquasparta, where one can enjoy unforgettable holidays.
The municipalities in this area are those of the Terni province, excluding those in the  areas of Amelia and Narni and Orvieto.
